A lot of the system boilers I see are much older than the combi installations. I see quite a few faults that are internal with combi but external in system boilers so the repairs can be carried out more easily and the parts are more standard and seem to fail less because they're not squeezed into a hot box. By this I mean diverters, expansions tanks etc.
