I have just installed a bb30 to BSA sleeve in my caad x....

What a bloody wrestle that was! Headset press plus the freezer didn't cut it, so I ended up using the vice for more purchase. This thing isn't coming out!

Until it creaks innit

I'm hoping It'll creak less than actual bb30...

Agreed on the Force chainset, I would be looking for a Coda Tarantula to put on it.
What brakes do you plan on using?

I've got a polished /black tarantula chainset on my team Volvo mtb and they are hard to come by in nice condition but it does need to be a black chainset to look right.
I have the original mint Avid shorty 4 cantis that will do for now but I will look out for some nice black 'boutique' ones. Levers I think will have to be force or red as I have force mechs.

I like the force chainset, looks good on this!

Cheers, well the force 22 mechs I have just purchased will at least match! If I'd have gone for GRX then all the range is black/dark and I wouldn't have this niggle 😬

Was this somewhere in the Netherlands, like Utrecht or similar? I think I passed through there, but I didn't have the time to stop and take a photo. If that's the case, I'd love that someone else did it when I couldn't!

My topstone carbon 2019 headset bearings have had it (who knew a load of sand and mud were no good for bearings?)

I think the part is K35010 1-1/8-1.5 Int Hdset w/ 36 Deg CR 25/5 TC

Can anyone confirm and point me in the direction of some bog standard bearings that will fit? I'm struggling.

Bought this on eBay a few weeks ago and it arrived today! Safe to say it didn’t get much use, literally not a mark on the whole bike. Amazing how someone can keep a bike for 20+ years like this
