Nikwax tech wash followed by tx-direct wash-in is still my go-to
It definitely works best if you can tumble dry the garment on low heat after proofing to get a better seal/bond/whatever it is that happens.

Do you mean the DWR has worn off the outer face of a hardshell (goretex, etc)? Because that's just to keep it breathable in the rain, and shouldn't let water in.
Anyway, I assume it's still Nikwax or Granger's unless something new has come along.

While we are talking about waterproofs, what is a good reproofing treatment nowadays? Haven't used one for a long time and my jacket has turned porous .
