Any particular highlights?

Meopham.

I've not ridden Pippingford but hear really good things about the course. I enjoy Crystal Palace, Somerhill and Canada Heights (although it could do with a longer lap). The Gatwick course is where I got my best result last year, but it's a flat field so not much to challenge you.

I wanted to say “hunping the bars” but you’ve put it more eloquently for sure.
If you watch Sven Nys videos he’s probably the best example of it outside MVDP and completely agree it’s the number one skill for cross, use it everywhere personal favourite is out of corners to get half a wheel on someone.

As everyone says mirror road bike. Only change I make is tilt levers up a bit for gripping them more

Pippingford is a great course. Awesome mix of tech, climbing and power sections.
Canada Heights needs little gears! It's SteepAF!
Palace is always fun, especially if it rains!
My personal favourite is East Brighton. The tiers make for hilarity when someone stacks it and everyone else piles into banks to steep to walk up.

Takes 45mm gravel tyres which is cool.

Anyone got any cx shoes in alright condition they want to move on? Size 42/uk 7.5. A very friendly B&B owner shrunk mine in the dryer over summer so they're not so good for running in any more

Looking forward to riding this. It looks right

I have some Sidi Dominators in that size I'd like to move on. I've barely worn them and in good knick - I just didn't get on with the shape. Can PM you some pics if you like. Sole is pretty stiff but they will take toe spikes. I really don't use them so I will give you a great deal :)

Looks like the head tube abgle could be steeper. Keen to hear how snappy it feels once you ride it

71.5 is just steep enough. I'd have prefered 72 degrees.
The thing that swung it for me is the BB height. It's got a 66mm drop. I love the euro style cross bikes like ridley, but wanted more tyre clearance.
This seemed to be a great middle ground at a solid price.
Edit. I also like the steep seat angle
Looking forward to riding it

Nice, is that a medium size? And not hydro for brakes?
-
• #9942
Yeah. I love AXS, but I'm really not a fan of the hydro brakes. Too grabby, noisy and uncomfortable for me.
I run the same setup on my roadbike too. It's great.

And yeah it is a medium. Saddle height in that image is 75.5cm and I'm 177cm for reference

Wondered if the gent that was down from London who won RD2 at the Torbay Velopark SummerCross yesterday was on here? Mega ride whoever he is.
After a really good race last week in RD1 my legs didn’t turn up this week at all! How do people warm up without overcooking it? I wonder if my ‘hard lap as a warm up’ approach contributed to my lack of legs…

So; eyeing up a few races in the Western CX league this year, will probably get a BC racing licence as that'll be more cost effective than paying for a day licence multiple times. The bronze licence will be ok right? Or will I need silver..

I always been used bronze and it’s okay

First ride back in four weeks after my calamity intro to cross.
Coombes Farm and Sandwich are a bit of a trek.
Anything closer first two weeks? -

Depends which side of London your based but it's worth checking the Wessex and central leagues
The Kent races are a bit of a slog but brilliantly organised and good courses -
• #9949
Round 2 of the London League will be at Pippingford Park, south of Forest Row on the 17th of September. It's not up yet on the BC site though.

Should be a good league this year. I like the late start
Not used to knowing where to look yet.
Should be ready to injure myself again lol. Thanks
