hello guys, i have a small question about adjusting the front headset on the mini.max, i have a small play on the headset when i lock the front wheel and rock the bike... is it just like another headset the procedure to remove this play?
thx! -

If it’s the same set up as an older cargomax then yes, same as any other (threaded?) headset :)

It's not quite as a threaded headset as there's no locknut, but yes you need to adjust the preload by tightening the locking cap. If yours is old and hasn't got the grub screw it's available on its own and a good upgrade.

Its kind of simple to use the disc converter. Also bought a new fork so quite some money spent, but on mine the wheels were dead and I got a bargain dynamo wheelset so it maybe made sense.
Are there any mulis around where you are? If long John and short is the plan those are great, and very popular in Berlin. -

Im really not a mulli fan, I dont like their accessory setup and The weight limit is too low. Also our kid is getting crazy tall fast. (3yo taller then 5yo cousin) im not sure its a good option for us. There is a ukranian "bootleg" thats a little bigger and uses dual 20" wheels. Wife is renting a bullitt this week to test, so may just end up buying a bullitt. But there cover also sucks for taller kids so will need to get a tall box that way also.

What's the name of the Ukranian 'bootleg'?
I'm a big fan of the muli, saw them in Berlin. Like the idea of being able to take it on a train etc.

Yeah I like the muli, and Yoonit too

I might have a go at making one myself, the folding basket is tricky though i think

I keep seeing your drumstick lolly Bullitt around on my travels. Both piloted, and locked up. Looks great!

Check out the Gazelle Cabby https://youtu.be/TyMkYMopcSw
They do the same, but they are pretty complicated to be honest, the way I thought was 2 hoops (like cabby) for the sides, hinged at the base on a narrowish deck attached to the frame and a pair of drop in bars like the add on top tube things for step throughs on boot racks, at the tops to form the front and rear, they lengthen to change the width of the top, drop in an folding bag and that’s a bingo. But I’m not going that way now, I’m thinking of just dropping in a shopping trolley cage as I don’t need to worry about storage width any longer. -

Yes! Good shout, will take a look for spares. Might be slightly too large if I wanted to keep to muli size.

When I was in the shop we had one as a demonstrator and it was great. In fact it was the most tested bike in the shop for ages. (Googles secondhand cabby)
I use they are easy, but I meant they looked hard to replicate the folder and attachments yourself. Just remembered I’ve got a small hub motor wheel in the loft somewhere, hmmm -

Oh yes sorry i mean I have seen the full cargo boxes for sale for them for under 50 euro bucks on german ebay classifides.
Also wife has decided we are getting a bullitt clockwork orange specifically. Likely with a custom kid enclosure from a local bag maker thats a bit wider and taller. Also going to slap on my older switch bike kit to solve the e-issue. Would tanwalls look completly butt on on orange bike? With otherwise black kit?

Had my first ride around lyon with my girls today, compared to London the cycle lanes are amazing. granted the level of traffic is nothing compared to London but it's by no means a sleepy village either.
Just felt so much more chilled, so glad I decided to ship the bullitt over and not flog it.

hey all. a new mtb park is opening near to me that i'd like to ride at. a bit far to ride to, esp since it is a downhill oriented park, and i'm disinclined to drive if i can avoid it. are there any reasonable cargo bike solutions for transporting a mtb? i've done janky stuff before where i've just strapped it down to my omnium mini, but is there any convenient way to do it on, say, a bullitt?

Look at bakki cycles panniers. You can carry bikes quite easily with them (using a regular bike with rear rack)

that is pretty cool in general for transporting odd sized things. thanks!
Yes for sure, I've had some interest in DMs already but spec is standard model, has dynamo hub front wheel, a Racktime rear rack, front Omnium webbing, cable disc brakes and mixture Deore groupset. Also has the amazing double kick stand and will come with upgraded Ergon grips and the lights for the dynamo. Looking for £1,200.
