  • Grats on the watch! What’s your budget?

These are super nice and soft, but correspondingly pricey:

Think they’re offering 15% off for first orders or something. I got an olive green one when they were offering 20% off orders of two or more leather straps, and I love it.

I’m also a fan of Two Stitch, Atelier Romane and Molequin, but those are all also pricey to a greater or lesser extent.

  • Oh, just checked the Bark and Jack prices. Pretty similar then.

That Ostend Baranil is really nice straight out of the box.

  • I believe In-Time is a concession in Daniels department store and they have leather straps in store.

Out in Windsor mind you so a bun run might be in order.

  • We sell Hirsch straps from our store in Windsor.

  • New watch day. After 3 years of Oris only, my brother pick this one up for me as an early bday present.

  • That Tiffany blue face is lovely! Congratulations!

  • Cheers. Timefactors stuff always seems really well finished for the money.

Bit undecided whether it is too small or not. May put it on a different strap to see if that makes a difference.

  • The bracelet is what attracts me to it! but it would be totally transformed with something else and that's the good thing - I hadn't thought about buying second hand (do see the odd Everest on here) would totally but another

  • Nice! I like that

  • thanks - buzzing. 60-70ish to start I think. Rationale is that it'll be worm quite often so could get a bit stinky and need changing

  • Quite like this strap

Guess advantage of watch gecko is can order a low, mid and high priced one, see quality difference, and send two back

  • So I guess the 093 has your preference ?
    Can you explain why ?

Haven’t find the right bracelet for mine yet..

  • I have a couple of those Christopher Clarke straps and they’re some of the best I’ve ever bought.

  • Wow that Seiko looks so good on this picture

  • The Christopher Clarke ones are really nice, but be aware they don’t taper, so they look and wear a bit different to a traditional style strap. A bit bulkier width-ways. Though they are thin and supple.

  • There’s so little between the 017 and 093 really. Most of the finishing is near-identical and from a distance they basically look the same (apart from the obvious size difference).

When you look at them up close (i.e., with a loupe) you can see the printing is sharper on the 017, but the markers and lume are a bit cleaner on the 093. It’s stuff like that. The 8L in the 017 feels nicer to wind and set and has a longer power reserve. It also keeps slightly better time.

But the size and weight of the 093 swings it for me, just about. It’s just more accurate to the original and I think that suits it. Though the 017 isn’t big, it’s a totally normal modern 40mm diver.

Still flip-flopping about keeping it but they really are so similar.

Re: straps, I’m going to try the spare 017 strap I have for it. You can order them from Seiko for about £150, the part number is R02B011J9. I really like the waffle style.

A grey tropic might look nice too, but I don’t think the official Tropics are as nice as the stock strap.

  • Lovely. They have some on sale atm but not the 18mm I need!

  • Happy Friday by the way.

Stealing 20 minutes of wrist time while the *pple W*tch charges.

These are just too long though, right? If it's the same model I have, anyway.

  • Digging this very much, quite nice to occasionally wind it several time a day.

  • They are longer than I (and many others) would like but not unwearable. They look great and are super soft (being silicone), and I don't know if there's another rubber strap I'd rather have on it. Open to suggestions though

  • Yeah, I'd like the same strap...just 1" shorter!

  • Oh hello GS

@hacha both look great, but we both know which one is the dogs…

    @inchpincher daaamn man, beautiful
