As much as I want to ignor the condescending tones, I will clarify my interpretation.
Out of all the jobs and careers available to FSK 40% choose nursing or similar. That means, to my mind at least, that the remaining 60% are spread across a plethora of other jobs. I.e. cashiers at Sainos, lawyers, admin temps, architects, estate agents, chefs, etc.
Unless there is another work sector that claims a near 40% of FSK, then it’s a pretty large proportion of the overall.

In many ways, Letby fits the profile for the “typical” female serial killer (FSK) that my team and I compiled for The Journal of Forensic Psychiatry & Psychology in 2015. By analysing cases in the US, we found that nearly 40% of female serial killers are nurses, nurses’ aides or other healthcare workers.
