For any Olympic or sprint I’ve ever done I just use my watch with extended display and ride to HR, however I had planned to use my edge alongside my watch with map and power for 70.3 which ironically never happened.
For sprint distance I don’t think I ever look at my watch for pacing, it’s full gas from the whistle!
