Exactly this.
With my PAYG I think they refer to it as "chargeable activity". My first credit / topup of £20 lasted from April 2019 to January 2023, mostly spent in the first few weeks by forgetting to turn data roaming off. -

can you recommend a PAYG SIM?
thanks (and @DethBeard)

Now that I've looked at my phone more closely, I'm probably not the best source of advice! Based on what I could find over four years ago, I have this:
https://www.o2.co.uk/help/pay-as-you-go/classic-pay-as-you-go
-but it appears to be no longer available for new customers, and the 'big bundle' replacement looks to carry a monthly fee. There must be someone else out there (not on O2) who can help? -

can you recommend a PAYG SIM?
If you're literally just receiving voice telephony, it really doesn't matter. Giff gaff have been fine for me, my dad had one for a few years as his backup and it lived all that time off the initial tenner. As everybody says, you just need to create a calendar entry to phone home for one second every month to keep it alive.

great, thanks - just ordered a free Sim from RGW 5p min calls 5p texts, expect a tenner to last a year tbh. Was tempted by there pay one deals. 40 quid for 12 month 5gb data and unltd calls/texts

Is there a thing that takes a 6mm threaded rod in one end and an 8mm one in the other?
My Google-fu is weak. But my illustration skills are fire.

How many do you need? It cannot be beyond the wit of man to turn something like that on a lathe.
ETA - These exist: https://www.google.co.uk/shopping/product/18193275798965004472?q=lighting+spigot+adapter+metric&prds=epd:14661592049123683985,eto:14661592049123683985_0,pid:12416652778705064806,rsk:PC_11000621316080095057&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi2sLeUj-6AAxWrUkEAHfMBB8cQ9pwGCAc
But as they are from the world of photo equipment, they're imperial. -

I could do it myself on a lathe (although it would take time) but am happy to buy a packet from the hardware shop

I need three. Well, I might. I might not need any. Was just looking to see if they existed
-

They do exist. Put ‘thread converter M6 M8’ into eBay and there’s all sorts.

There’s one example but have a scroll through to find the best price!

Are there countries where hi vis is mandatory while cycling?
I found that in Italy it is before dawn and after dusk. -
• #118388
I believe @chopsicle designed the Rapha brevet jerseys to meet French night time hi viz requirements

Panaracer RiBMo ?

I think that’s just a poorly worded header Jonny. They all look like 1/4bsp to 6-10mm to me??
How about this as a bodge?

You could use one of those and then an m6 threaded rod connector. Annoyingly m10 to m8 is a common threaded rod reducer (connector that’s female to female) but I can only find m8 female to m6 male with my googling. I’d wrongly assumed they were readily available like the m8-m10.

Another option is to put in a klickfix mounting plate on the back of the carradice bag and use their handlebar mount. I remember someone did this successfully in the carradice thread, with a super c audax bag I think.
I have a klickfix adapter and the mounting plate if you can have if you want -

Lithuania. It won't be enforced unless the cops are bored or empty in the pocket though.

Another question. Is there some kind of mechanism, linkage, gearing etc that can increase horizontal movement? IE my input movement is 10mm but the output is 50mm

Pantograph? Is it for drawing

Is there a forum approved sturdy pannier to attach a kids seat to?
You might need to credit it with some balance to activate it, and make the odd chargeable to keep it current.
Vague memory of spending something every 3 or 6 months.
Could just add a fiver and send a text to your proper phone every few months (probably)
