• Just sold an old-school Game Boy which the seller claimed didn't work when it arrived. Returned it, and it's switched on and plays absolutely fine, just as it did when I sent it. What a waste of time and resources.
Like, I've got it back, I can sell it again, fine, but I've lost the postage cost at least, and a week of my time while the buyer returned it. I don't think there's much I can do, just wanted to vent.

  • Happened to me with a watch I sold. I left plenty of passive-agressive messages with the buyer. Didn't help, made me feel better.

Folks on here have had success with complaining to eBay and eBay refunding the postage and fees. Try it. I should.

  • It might be that the cartridge the buyer was trying to use was super old? I believe they contain a tiny coin battery, which last approx. 10-15 years.

  • I once sold a vintage tape deck on eBay that I had video of it working as part of the listing, and eBay still sided with the seller. I'm still angry about it to this day.

  • I moaned about this above, its full of absolute cunts now.
