No I don’t know seller! Just a gem I unearthed

I see he's local and got some mad stuff. I saw a guy coming out of the marina with the most perfect horizon fade Klein Attitude a couple weeks ago. Wondering if it's the same guy.

Ah didn't spot he was Brighton based.

No bids in the end, would've also been very tempted to pluck it for £240

We have had loads of these come through the project over the years...
You will find that they are indeed not worth near 2k.
Maybe in scrap metal perhaps.

I had an Activator One as a kid. First bike I bought with my own money. Brought it to London to ride to work 15 years later and it was fine...until the handlebar snapped off in my hand at the stem clamp as I tried to pull away at some traffic lights on Old Street. I very gracefully wobbled to a halt down a side street clutching the bars in one hand and trying to steer with the remains of the broken stem with the other. I think I left it at th side of the road and got a bus to work.

This seems a bit cheap at £550 for a Factor One https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126062532230
Seller is well rated, but repainted seatstays rings alarm bells.

Went to £630 on auction last week with winning bidder apparently mucking about. Weighing up unknown repair jobs is hard. I would think that if someone's gone to the effort to have frame repaired and paint job done nicely (looks like they've chosen black to match other sections of black paint as the original red may be hard to match well), i would reason a decent job. Definitely a risk. Only other thing I'd check would be serial number.
Just seen one ride past. Lol

Also 'I bought this recently and don't know the history but am selling it on for cheap for no reason in particular' rings a lot of alarm bells, specifically the I tried to build it up, realised it was fucked, and am flipping it alarm bell

58cm Kona Honky Tonk frameset, price is keen but in good (weirdly good) condition, worth a haggle?

Right until you rode one.

That is really nice. Kinda odd that it’s in such good nick.
Price is a bit wide given that the 56cm they mention buying is most likely the one that sold on eBay a couple weeks ago for an offer accepted below the £150 buy it now price.
I’d pay £150 for that 58 though…

Oh definitely punchy pricing but I guess the seller has the "find another" mentality.
From memory mine is a 58cm and was £499 for a complete bike from Evans 13 years ago! /csb
