Strange times for bike dealerships.
When I lived inthe Isle of Man there were a handful of LBS's which were able to survive/prosper in a poulation of around 80K due to the popularity o cycling on the Island. Recently though I understand that business has become tougher. Participation in competitive cyling has fallen away (100 plus for a midweek 10, ten yeears ago to now between 30-40).
I now live in Belper near Derby and I think a form of the trradtional LBS will be the norm. This will be the repair shop as opposed to bike or kit dealer as that seems to now be inthe domain of the internet.
