Maybe a wild card
I've a lightweight Trek 6500 with wide 26" slicks fitted, only grip shitfers but it's very decent condition and full cleaned with new upright stem fitted which has a decent range to reduce the height as shown.
QR front and rear wheels, all straight with not too much wear on braking surfaces which I've fully cleaned.
Braking is fantastic, Deore rear V but cheap ally front, STX chainset and derailleurs, 7 speed Shimano cassette, teeth all good on c/set and cassette plus chain is in great nick also.
Saddle replaced with one that was new or near new, some new cabling as well.It was for my grandson so I've spent plenty of time cleaning it and making sure it's all good, but he wanted a more modern Carerra - which I tried to tell him these weren't all that great but you know, can't tell a 14yr old what's best these days!
Suit about 5ft 11 at the upper end, down to 5ft 5ish
£135 I'm in N.Herts however

Thanks very much. That does look very tidy but is a bit more than I was hoping to spend.

Not mine but a good bloke I’ve bought from and sold to many times over the years.

Yes, thanks, that was pointed out to me yesterday - looks ideal, have asked about the size.

Still looking?

Hopefully not thanks. Have taken a punt (unseen) on the B-Twin on retrobike (suggested above). Expected next week, so if it is suitable then I (or rather no. 2 son) will be sorted. If not then I will still be looking. And I’ll have a B-Twin for sale!
** now sorted thanks **
Looking for a basic bike for my son to take to university.
Really don't want to spend much due to high risk of it going astray. Ideally about 54cm/M or M/L sort of size, prefer flat bars, a few gears, that sort of thing.
