Really like this. I must be getting older as I'm like 2 tone more and more.

Screw it, had a word with myself after talking myself into and out of it for about 2 weeks and just did it. Will post a pic when it arrives

Prepared for the trek to the pub.

And, I know there's a lot of G-Shock love here but this is definitely the better watch.

Auction won at 7pm on Thursday, watch turned up at 10am today, immaculate as advertised. A quick visit to Jules the jewels, cycling jeweller and all-round good bloke, to adjust the bracelet (he also makes my rings) and I am very happy.

It’s a 1969 Seamaster. As far as I know all original, serviced in 2021, runs perfectly within few seconds per day. I was thinking a bargain £999 posted to U.K.

It’s probably the nicest example from those years I’ve ever seen.

No link, but I'll send you his number by DM. He's based in Hastings. He's made any number of bits and pieces for me, often from stones (like the opal) that I have bought from auction. He's brilliant and a fraction of the price of London bespoke jewellery.

Yes, the faceted date window is standard. 565 movement inside, very reliable. Case is 35mm without the crown, 18mm lugs (I’ll include like 5 nato straps and a leather strap with it as I don’t have another watch I’d use them with). It really is a special watch.

Edit: for reference my wrist is 7.5in
