  • That's @Kimmo bike

  • Hah, cheers! I actually cheated for that shot, and put some seat mast slices back in; it's a size too big for me. Photo's missing the OSPWs I grafted into the standard cage shortly afterwards, that looks pretty cool. Also fitted an Edco billet cassette since.

Had that bike for years before I hacked the cable guides off; gave up trying to find one in my size. A matter of months after that, bam! I found a 56, in beautiful nick, for a mere thousand bucks (complete bike with 7800 and Ksyrium ES). So, a sexier and even lighter (than 6.14kg) iteration of this bike to come.

Wonder how much trouble I'll have trying to sell the old frameset... the new fork has enough steerer to fit this one; maybe I'll just hang an e-tube wire out of the race number mount hole (I removed the rivnut, I could pop a grommet in)...

New owner would have to be briefed on the necessity to shave about 1.5mm off the width of a new battery though (I'd include the old one, of course). Maybe the biggest issue is seat mast adjustment is limited to the small to medium range for this size, and steerer is full slam.

Pretty damn sweet whip, tho - sexiest looking TCR of all time IMO, and no silly Overdrive steerer, and it has a BSA BB. Pity about the poxy 'advanced' in Arial font and website on the seatstays. Wasn't that keen on the 'Shimano' on the chainstays until I made it Di2 only, but it really should say 'Dura-Ace'... bloody thing retailed for $8.5k in 2006!
