  • Odd one....

Been going through the SAK WIKI, trying to find an 'ideal' SAK to replace my daily.

I've had a Wenger SAK since maybe 2011? I bought it in an army surplus and I specifically remember they provided it in the wrong box because it was the only one to hand having lost the original. Man I love that knife, the smaller 84mm vs 91mm etc.

Years later the watchmaker Walsh one was stolen on a cycle trip and replaced. One of the classics for my 30th. Eventually the Swiss Champ with missing magnifier, too bulky for daily use.

Anyway. My Wenger is the most-carried, but I don't need the saw.

Looking online eventually I have found what model it is, it's a S52 but without locking blade. I can't be the only person with this one, but searching other forums it seems very rare to have a non-locking S52.

Shame mine is so beat up with missing bits from the scales being used as a hammer.

  • Delemont (ex-Wenger products) are your only option if you want scissors in a pocket knife (rather than a keychain knife) smaller than the 91mm range - but the options are limited, particularly if you want pliers. I think the S52 is discontinued.

How about a Deluxe Tinker? It's a bit bigger, but I think has all the things you're looking for. If you need a corkscrew it's a relatively easy swap for the Phillips driver on the reverse.
