What are the chances of a pelly 39 date?

A P39 in Blue is the low hanging fruit surely?

It would break the pattern of the 39mm versions of their divers watches so far.

Does anyone know if Alsal offer a bracelet repinning service? I definitely don't want to spend £750 on a new bracelet for both money and mismatched appearance reasons. I think I can replace the clasp but if I'm doing that I'd like to have it repinned too.

Have you had a look on chrono 24?
I seem to remember in both buying and selling Rolex on there, there’s always a great deal of straps, bracelets, claps etc also. -

The domed crystal on the 093 (and 017 et al) is one of the best I’ve ever seen. The distortions are super fun and it doesn’t seem to have the milky white halo that most sapphire crystals suffer from.
Having worn it a few days now, the size of the 093 is definitely preferable for me vs the 017. The strap seemed to be quite thick and a little stiff for the size of the watch (it’s not as flexible as the very similar-looking one on the SLA037) but it actually wears nicely, and it has a bit more of a satin kind of texture on the inside (?) so it doesn’t stick to your arm. It’s surprisingly comfy.
I’ll definitely do the detailed comparison when I have time.

I haven't, I'll have a look on there. I'm worried about buying the correct bracelet because there's so many variations.

Yeah it’s a bit of a minefield, and unlikely to be “cheap” but I had more confidence in deployment clasps and bracelets etc on there than I did on eBay

Is it a pin or a mini spring bar? I am sure a decent watchmaker could replace that

I have a good quality oyster tribute if you want it as an interim. I bought it, from Raffles, as I wanted to see what mine looked like on an oyster but prefer the original so it’s no use to me.

The pin is easily replaceable and I could continue nursing it, but if you zoom in on the first photo you'll see that one of the pin "holders" (?) has snapped and that's why the pin kept trying to eject itself.

Ah bummer, I would have been worried about the watch falling off my wrist wearing it with an issue like that tho
😬 would deffo look into a repair 🤞 love those engine turned bezels, have considered a date version before but unsure on the size need to try one on. -

Once it was clasped it was solid and secure, it's only when I took it off or put it on that it became at risk.

Question re. papers - how important are they really if we’re talking about something 3-4k that I’m likely going to want to keep for a few decades and only wear on special occasions? In my head I probably won’t even sell it on - rather pass it down to the lucky little’un. I just don’t know if I can bring myself to pay 3,500 without having papers come along with it..

I personally don’t care if the price is right, watch is in good condition… just make sure it’s legit, of course.
Reissue vs Reinterpretation I suppose but even the the most true to original reissues have some tweaks. Similar enough for a comparison though I've not found a comparison vs the SLA yet. Maybe Regal does need to do one.
