Meaning?
The end of the saddle frame where it joins the saddle body
-
• #5003
Ah. Click is there when out the saddle so it's not that
-
• #5004
For me recently, it was the dropouts needing tightning. Click gone. (If your frame has that feature).

Chainring bolts, or knees.

Checked Thru-Axle/QR?
-
• #5007
Knees is the most likely answer so far.
It's a spiderless crank, and the locking was loctited on at approximately BastardTight™️ Nm -

I took the back wheel out the other day, it was torqued up and greased

Chainring bolts
I was going to say this.
If it's direct mount then the interface between the ring(s) and crank arm.

Just removed and refitted the cranks, as I replicated the noise while it was upside down with my hands on the crank arms. The old Hope AM expansion bung system is a bit....shit. Slapped loads of grease on and tightened up bloody hard and it's stopped clicking.
For now.

It only started clicking after I washed it a bit, so the main lesson here is never ever clean your bike. The dirt is structurally integral.
-
• #5012
Hmmm... Hope crankset?
-
• #5013
Aye. Tbf, this is the first time it's ever been a bit noisy. Previous to that, the clicking has either been bearings, headset cup, chain guide, fork, shock, stem bolt, or seatpost. So really it's just the crank having it's day in the sun

My front trp spires seems weaker than usual. Changed pads, cable, housing, rotor with no real reaults. I have serviced them last winter(as I do every year) by disasembling and cleaning but thinking now perhaps their lifespan is at the end after 6 years of abusing them in snow, rain etc. My next idea is to maybe swap them around with rear one as it seems to work fine. Or should I just get bb7 already?

Why not Hylex
Edit: you probably have gears don't you. Nevermind.
-
• #5016
Sure, but mostly don't want hydraulic stuff on account that up to this point mechanical stuff was working fine for riding I do (witch is just dicking around on access roads, forest paths and country side roads)

They do tend to creak and have friends dump them and went back to Shimano.
Dunno exactly what it is but I suspect it's the cross slots cut into the axle.

I suspect it's the cross slots cut into the axle.
I think you're almost certainly right. The fact they're not on the new axles is telling

Yeah really noticing this more recently as if something has changed in their mix. Never was the best but don't remember it being like this.

Or Slugs
My million dollar empire was going to be built on farming slugs for the creation of engine/machine oil to replace dinosaur oil. No one likes slugs, might as well put their juicyness to good use. -

Any thoughts on the best band-on mech adapter for running a Sram force D2 front mech with? It is the AXS ie non-wide fitting. The only sram ones I can find online are for the wide fitting XPLR mech

• #5022
Problem solvers one has worked fine for me with Force. I couldn't really find a nicer looking black one.

Have you got a link plz?
-
• #5025
Yeah I saw that, out of stock unfortunately
Meaning? Not familiar with that unless you're talking about train stations
