  • @Bigteef many thanks! :)

@C4r1s Yes, I prefer the ability to fold it down and roll it around with the bag still on. Also, since I don't have a "proper" rack on mine, the Carradice sqr is arguably better. Also, the seatpack on the white Brompton is filled with rain gear and very light stuff, so it's almost unnoticeable :)

@geb257 I can't believe it! I noticed you were looking at the bikes, but I thought you were someone who just saw them for the first time! Crazy to think about it.

  • Word on the street is prices are going up again 1475 for six speed?!

Dropping house red and cloud blue, another green?

  • Anyone looking for a pair of Schwalbe One tires (folding) in black? Very good condition, they had very little use

  • Anyone tried switching back and forth between a Swytch and a normal set-up? Could be tempted to try electric for commuting as I live up a big hill, but would want regular unassisted Brompton for all other uses.

  • My shifter clamp bolt has rounded and I need to get the shifter off. I guess I need to get busy with a drill, but does anyone have a replacement bolt? It's the older non-integrated shifter type.

  • £45 posted for both, hope that’s fair. The cheapest I could find with a quick online search is £47 each (back one has marginally more wear and it a bit dirtier, but both saw very little use)

  • Don't suppose you have a bolt for the old style A line brakes?
Just bought an Aline ( I know , but I loved my B75) and want to swap bars but one of the bolts are rounded.

  • Yep, send me an email

  • Upload a photo outlining exactly which one, I’ve got loads of those older brake levers and shifters and stuff so probably

  • Will do , thanks.

  • dare I ask how much/full spec/ cheers

  • Is there a consensus on titanium parts upgrades? Thinking of getting a ti post and handlebars.

Also considering getting the Phil Woods front hub (though I can only see it in the U.S and would like to avoid customs fees)

  • Seatpost & BB, handlebars are nice but a little on the narrower side for my liking.

  • Yep, JK carbon bars, Jtek seatpost. BB I am not so sure, I want reliability there.

  • I just bought a Phil front hub, £202 plus £52 tax :'(

  • H&H bb is 👌🏻

  • What's your email address?

  • It's a fair price, I'm out though; more of want than a need!

  • This is what I fear. BLB say they can special order it direct from Phil Woods but I’m waiting on a price.

@HoKe I’ve just been reading that the to stuff can be pretty flexi. I might have to pass being on the chunkier side.

  • Hello@hobbscycles.co.Uk

  • I've been using 580mm wide Chinese carbon bars for 5 years with no issues so far.

  • I have a really old 3 speed (pre-2010 I think) with M bars that is in sound order, what sort of upgrades would be worth considering to save a bit of weight or indeed just for general improvement.

I’ve recently changed the tyres and already have some lighter pedals. Though I think I was too optimistic with the pedals and they are actually a bit small for me - they have a very small platform.

I also need the telescopic seatpost, so not so easy to save weight there I think.
