I still can’t eat courgettes 5 years after first growing them.

I agree with @Light_EDDed - I put membrane down on paths and under fruit bushes; after the first couple of years it's more trouble than it's worth. Weeds root in the wood chip mulch as it breaks down and then their roots penetrate the membrane, really determined weeds get through anyway, and the membrane both disintegrates and obstructs any digging that you might need to do to get perennial weed rhizomes out. Cardboard would be a better option.

Are you going to eat the dahlia tubers?
Funny that you swore off planting slug food and went for dahlias instead - widely regarded as a favourite of the molluscy bastards.

Shedly.
Basically done. Just want to source a solar powered pendant light for inside and make it a bit more homely.

Was picking up some seed compost earlier and ended up leaving with a small bag of winter harvest seed potatoes.
Never done them before, is there any extra considerations with winter spuds apart from keeping frost at bay? -

Nice shed but is there not a security concern with so much glass? any tools might be clearly visible

That’s a serious investment in your plot, very jealous. May all your seeds germinate!

I put a brick in front of my shed door. Just as a way of telling things there’s fuck all in there. Not had anything stolen yet.

I put a fence up at our new plot last night. I couldn’t vouch for the quality because it was dark when I finished and you can’t really create any tension when you’re trying to attach it to the post.

Won’t be any tools in there, just seeds/compost etc.
We’re lucky to have 2 big secure clubhouse buildings with tool lockers for each plot.
The shed won’t be locked. -

Spent the day being eaten alive by angry insects. It was worth it though as I managed to clear the plot. Now I need to source some pallets to begin building a tool shed and some planters.
