Navy knit tie would go with chambray IMO. 4 in hand knot.
Death to pocket squares.

If you’re wearing trainers don’t wear a tie (or pocket square)

I'm sure somebody here needs these. Only a tenner. Size 9. Life-changing. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225680252337

how is this approach leg length (by a somewhat reputable make) supposed to work for anyone at either end of the height scale?

What colour socks should I wear with light pink chinos, light blue linen jacket, white shirt and brown brogues?
-
• #4832
Light brown or orange or yellow
Or black
-

that is really hard question (also can’t tell if srs)

Lime green.

I think I’d probably go for a off white/cream sock or a brown sock. But honestly I’m struggling here…

Generally my sock of last resort would be matched to the trousers, but in this case I'm not sure

Aubergine/burgundy/dark plum
-

I'd play it safe and go sockless.

Although I hate loafers, I'd probably also say pink chinos = loafers, not brogues.

Agree with the above, wrong choice of shoes.

I'd change the shirt, could go for something thats less formal (as in that shirt looks like its missing a tie). I really like the shirts from Cos for a smart but less stuffy look. Smaller collar, more minimal.

Probably the wrong thread, but I can’t see a dedicated bag one.
Just back from a beach holiday in Spain and got quite jealous of the missus’ beach bag, and have decided I need one for myself, but something more robust/engineered as I’m not looking to buy another.
Any recommendations for over engineered, built to last, beach bags that could last several beach holidays would be appreciated.. -

Don't know if it's what you mean by beach bag but Tom Bihn monster truck?
-

I have one of these, robust to the max!
I modified mine a little; dyed it with tea and added a clasp closure.

Not sure if they’re producing anymore, but if you look for “coal bag reproduction” or maybe “lineman’s tool bag” something useful may be found.

LL Bean Boat and Tote XL

Always a good option, I assumed something more esoteric was required!

The LL Bean bag is a great shout

I have one of these, the mesh makes it easier to carry wet stuff/Sandy things over a traditional tote. Montbell stuff I’ve found to be really well made gear

Anyone recommend a t shirt brand that has the same handfeel as Uniqlo supima (lightweight, breathable) but with a little less of a sweatshop vibe?
-
• #4849
Pherrow’s does a really nice t shirt, supposedly loopwheel (I have a couple from them). They’re nice and light, very comfy. The neck isn’t too big, though I prefer the tighter ones from my Warehouse and BR tees.

Lomo duffel bag?
last question - can i (should i) wear a tie with a chambray shirt? Is that a nice contrast or is that overcomplicating it...
