Interesting, any idea why they went with vertical dropouts instead? Gotta love that flat fork crown. Bonus pic of the original:

Not sure why he used the socket style dropouts. Ugo de Rosa had his own style of dropout joining that was very nice. It is seen on the early Merckx and Nagasawa frames and some high end Benotto frames, De Rosa trained all those builders.
