If only cars could be reprogrammed so rather than show MPG they showed £ per mile - updating with the latest average fuel price data, or somehow recording it from the garage you last filled up in.
If people could better make the connection that razzing up to red lights and then screeching off again costs you noticeable money, they rein it in a bit. Wishful thinking maybe though. Taxi drivers are some of the worst and you'd think they would have clocked that driving efficiently would materially impact their take home pay!
