It is the long covid risk that I think may not be comparable to flu.
Unless "long flu" is far more common than we think, as people with auto-immune diseases were often told they weren't ill/it's all in their head/etc.
Just went to get some tests as we are going on holiday, just to reduce the risk of giving it to others. Sold out in our local area... the sales person at Boots told me everybody is getting sick/getting tests.
