I have just updated the photos of the Ephgrave track/path frame showing a more recent build I did for myself and have been riding. It's a wonderful frame.
A few more details:
Frame number LE1352 [1952?]
56cm square c2c, 14.7cm head tube, 28cm BB height, 100 x a little under 120 spacing
BSA BB, 1" steerer. Drilled fork, no provision for rear brake.
Mudguard eyes and generous clearances - the tyres shown are 700c x 32 on TB14 rims.
Lovely delicate pencil stays and fillet brazing (or from that era may be welded, I shall await the thoughts of any passing vintage experts).
Magic carpet ride quality, total bike weight as shown 8.8kg.
Was repainted by Bob Jackson's just before they closed 'that time', in a 'warm black' with nice hand box-lining. Paint still fresh, hardly ridden since refurb.
Only issue of note is the BB has been sleeved, but on a bike this age it basically just means a complete reset on worn threads and it's all good.
Frame, fork and (new) Tange headset for sale at £350, for another £50 I will include the lovely vintage steel stem and alloy track bars, or £75 for them without the F&F but preference goes to someone buying the frame of course.
