And every sat nav going pings you to let you know ones coming up anyway, but I still constantly see people getting "the flash" for speeding and/or jumping a red light by one on Lewisham Way. You have to be properly stupid to get caught by one.

Also, allowing speed cameras to be put in big yellow boxes is the stupidest, most craven sop to the car lobby imaginable.
The cameras are there to slow the cars down, not to collect monies. If they're visible, people slow down, and they serve their purpose, no?

Does anyone know of anyone who has ever actually got a ticket or any other action from an average speed zone? I've never heard of it happening and basically don't believe they are used.
