Thanks for that!

Is it a Blues breaker?
A 1987 head in a Bluesbreaker cab essentially.
Vox AC10 is a good shout actually, I used to gig with an AC30 after I sold my Bluesbreaker combo in about 2004

Vox AC10 is a good shout actually
One popped up on MarketPlace here yesterday, only 300 bucks, criminally cheap.

That's a gorgeous amp! Isn't this why you'd want an attenuator, discussed a couple of pages back? So get get to keep your amp but play it at a lower volume?

Yeah might be a good shout, I have considered something like that before, but my overall issue is one of space, the Marshall is just so f-ing big! My studio/WFH room is pretty small....

I was round a friend's the other day, he has a recent-ish AC15 and I was really surprised at how much I liked it. It's been ages since I tried a Vox! The trem and reverb are good and the tone controls are really interesting.
As well as a bunch of guitars (Duo Jet, Airline, Rapier 22, etc etc) he has a fucking amazing dual console 60s Hammond plus a method of running guitar through the organ preamp into his ancient Leslie rotating speaker. TOTAL religious experience.

So I did the thing. Not sure I like it. 😐🤣
Louder, much brighter, more mids, much cleaner. Hmmmm.
Please excuse my scratchy skirting boards.

I never liked them BITD. My first band had a very early blue speaker AC30, only used it in the studio once, everything else was done on the Twin or whatever Marshall the studio had. Really love the modern AC15s tho'!
Those early AC15s sound great in other people's hands, two of my mates had very early white ones, I could never get anything good out of them.

Stick the old one back in and keep the blue for a new project!

I put a Weber Sig8 in my unsuper Champ and love that. I was going for moar clean headroom at the time so changed the preamp tubes to AY7s as well. It lives in clean land 90%of the time. Just means you have to turn to 8 instead of 4 to start the raunch.
Oh, and I waste at least half an hour of every day hunting for amp bargains on marketplace. It almost counts as a hobby in and of itself

I will definitely swap it back. My mate in Melbourne reckons he wants it for his new Fender amp project. That would be handy.
I really can't live without the raunch, clean does not compute in my brain. 🤯
MarketPlace is evil. I just found a 2009 single cut tobacco burst Junior for only $1200. So tempted. But I already have too many Juniors. Evil.

Am now getting into gargeband recording and creating bits and pieces. Part of me would like to build up a pedal board or invest in a multi-effects pedal for likely live stuff coming up in the next few months. Any thoughts/recommendations?
Boss multi fx seems most highly rated but part of me would prefer the simplicity of a pedal board with a few key options rather than a more complicated interface.
Need a bass amp upgrade soon too.

Separate pedals allow for much more research and spending. Multi-FX would be far too simple and cheap.

🤣

then there's the multifx style button setup for all your pedals so you dont have to stomp them individually

The ideal LFGSS response that I was looking for!

It’s nice but it’s not that nice..
If I was in the market for a junior I’d be putting my name down for something from Grit Brothers.

Before I go to the trouble of listing it on fleabay, would there be any interest here in an ENGL 2x12 slant cab with V30s? The tolex on the front has been scratched to absolute shit by my darling cats so I'd be looking for £275. Collection from E17, will post pics in due course

Let the puppy killing commence! The maple top on this was stunning. I was tempted to just swap the guitar out for something cheaper as apparently the client didn’t even know what Fender had sent us :/

Gonna look great under the lights tho'. Keep 'em coming!
What you putting in the gaps, resin?

Colour matched tile grout. We use it on all our pieces, works a treat.
I have no idea if this will just be for a photoshoot or a stage guitar but I want to make sure it’s playable without shredding the clients hands to mince. -

Do the additions make for a big weight increase?
-
• #13825
Maybe a kilo I’d guess, the mirror is only 1.8mm thick but we’re doing front, back and face of headstock. The tele we were sent has a carved top and rear body contour so it’s certainly lighter than a standard slab body(might even be chambered).
We’ve done a few over the years and no one’s ever complained about the weight. Manic street preachers have an Ibanez bass I did years ago for a tour, it got pretty hammered so got a bit…. sharp in places!
I’ve done a thunderbird as well but that weighed as much as an oil tanker already so who’d notice. As for the tone I can’t think it’s gonna benefit anyone but for a stage banger they do look nifty.
I won’t post any more pics until the client has received and posted. We’re not on an NDA but i shouldn’t give too much away.
Wow, so cool yet so impractical. I'm sure some cashed-up mod somewhere will be creaming his mohair slacks at the thought of that in his impeccably tasteful mid-century interior.
Is it a Blues breaker? I get so confused by the Marshall combos. There's a bloke over here selling a 1974 combo with a matching cab that is total chef's kiss.
Get an AC10!
