His Santa Monica penthouse looks very wrappable.
No-one said anything when Christo dumped all those oil barrels in the Serpentine.

Just one of those old buildings bought for redevelopment that happens to 'go on fire'.

The pub's been demolished. Access to it was blocked with mounds of earth. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-birmingham-66434719 It seems it was about to be listed? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/08/07/britains-wonkiest-pub-crooked-house-burnt-down-to-be-listed/ Maybe the crooks will be forced to rebuild it, like that pub in Maida Vale https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2021/mar/21/rising-from-the-rubble-london-pub-rebuilt-brick-by-brick-after-bulldozing

I know the Tories are getting worse, but this is disgraceful. The state of British politics!

That listed pub that spontaneously combusted has now spontaneously demolished itself whilst the investigation of the cause of the fire was still ongoing.
I'm sure the developers who purchased it recently will be as surprised as everyone else seems to be.

It's remarkably blatant isn't it? And sloppy from the police.
-
• #83892
Has anyone mentioned that access for the fire brigade vehicles was blocked by mounds of recently dumped earth in the lane which leads to the pub.
-
• #83893
It's wild how blatant it is. Surely even the most incompetent investigator would see the connections.
I look forward to absolutely nothing being done about it.

Mmm. But then £2m of public money to fix this (similarly white elephanty) place up seems a bit off, too.

Lots of mysterious (not really) fires in Belfast city centre lately...
Somebody got caught on the site of the arson I doubt they can link it the the owner...whose other property was set on fire 20 years ago!
He wanted the tenants out. But surely we all know what's happening here...best case the guy gets done for arson, that it.

Tories to try and abolish the electoral commission off the back of this?

"We obviously don't think that people who are accused of breaking the law should have a seat at the table in discussions with government"
Bit fucking rich isn't it what with all the laws broken recently with COVID, Boris etc etc

The next use for the Bibby Stockholm is obvious.
Moor it next to Westminster Bridge,
as 'London' accomodation for MPs.
Offer the accomodation for free,
but,
for those who choose not to use it,
no subsidies for additional properties bought or rent paid. -

They have been saying they don't know what to do for offices if parliament gets refurbed...
Trespass is also a misdemeanour there, rather than a civil offence here - so criminal record.
