The chainstay suffered a crack
Tragic, I am sorry for your loss

The Radon is taking shape. Just need brake lines to finish it up.

Almost figured out how to put this together.

That looks like loads of fun. I bet the pilot is going to be the one doing all the hard work though (speaking from personal experience of riding a 16 inch wheeled tandem with my kids)

Let’s hope these will be as fast as bivyclerollingresistance promises.

Fast, faster, fastest. These and the Furious Fred are the tire choices this season.

Bargain of the century. The catch? The seatpost is stuck.

Great to see you continue as before (or as the dutch saying) continue on old foot. Lovely frame, is it a cross version?
-
• #314
It is. According to the seller it was raced by Richard Groenendaal at some point in time.

Silly aero purchase.

Just came across this. Want it sooo bad. I do wonder if it will hold up to regular road riding.

On the basis of this thread, I feel like I can safely say that you absolutely need to buy that bike

Can't really comment on it's durability for regular road riding (although I don't see why it wouldn't), but I once owned a similar frame, although without the tiny seatstays.
-
• #319
Wow! It looks even better in carbon weave. Did you ride it yourself? If so, how was the ride?
-
• #320
nah, never gotten around to building it - gave it to a friend, who as far as I know hasn't built it up either.

Formula Mixmaster for R1 with XTR I-Spec something. Not the neatest setup, but looks like it is going to work just fine.

Very much to my surprise the wheels do not look very good in the Koga.

Just bought an even lighter frame for the weightweenie mountainbike project. It was quite cheap, but not without issues. Let's hope I won't die riding it.

Unfortunately yes. The chainstay suffered a crack.
I replaced it with a Salsa Bucksaw, which was a super fun bike, but a massive overkill for the kind of terrain I ride. It was replaced by a Salsa Deadwood, which was the best bike I ever rode. But got bored of that.
