  • As the name suggests everything gets wet, no matter how you plan it. That’s not actually true, it just feels that way. Ours has a glass screen on one side of the shower area so that the door out doesn’t get directly wet, but the basin gets wet when I use it as it’s in the shower side of the room. This isn’t the case when Liz uses it though. The floor gets wet in half the room even though the slope and drain are correct so you can’t pop in and brush your teeth if someone is in the shower. We used municipal swimming pool flooring that is welded and goes up the wall about 200mm and all the sanitary wear is wall mounted, but I’m still paranoid about it leaking. I use the main bathroom with its nice deep bath most of the time tbh.

  • My 2p on wet rooms, is that they're great in warm, non-humid countries where property prices per m² are cheap enough to have a big enough bathroom for the toilet roll to stay dry.
