My beloved Robin Mather/ Rapha Continental road bike was taken from my garden in Brockley a couple of nights ago. Was spotted in Blackheath yesterday. Black frame with pink Chris King trim. It’s a one of a kind bike so easy to identity m. More photos HERE
Please contact me immediately if you see it. I’m on 07729250399.
Thanks,

Likewise, sorry to hear this. Distinctive bikes so will keep eyes open. Was it one of those on street hanger things?

Standard pavement railing. Right outside the front door of a library in full view of CCTV. The veeery blurry footage looks like a double act (Lookout x CableCutter).

I saw that this morning he probably has 5X the recovery rate of the local police. Shame the police in that clip admit bike theft is low priority and warn you not to do anything about it yourself. I filmed two guys stealing bikes the other week. I didn't fancy taking on two crackheads with tools. Went to the police station a couple of days later to report and they weren't interested. The officer said nothings been reported but he didn't check anything but did say they had found 20+ stolen bikes in a lock up the week before. I had seen that in the local paper but I interpreted that as some quota has been hit so not bothered until they they have another token number to hit regardless of the number of bike related crimes actually happening. When a group of lads tried bottling me riding home recently they did send two cars straight away though so not completely useless I suppose 🙄

Advice please?
I was woken by my ring doorbell at 4am this morning to find someone trying to crowbar open my bike shed, I didn't do anything stupid as I was on my own with two kids, just called the police, but by the time I got through to the police the thief had already scarpered empty handed. I'm now not sure if they some how heard me get up / walk to the window or just got spooked by something else. They had managed to pop open one of the door deadbolts so were making progress. Police came and took details and uploaded images from the doorbell but was only the back of his head so pretty useless.
Anyway has anyone got any good advice as to how I discourage them from having another go tonight? Is a wooden Brighton Bike Shed so I'm going to reinforce where they crowbarred open the door and obviously the bikes are chained to a steel bar if they do get in but just feel a bit like a sitting duck at the moment.
Thanks
Ah man, so shit - feel your pain. Hope it turns up 🤙
