N++ is perfect for pick up & play sessions IMO.
Spelunky is a pretty quick run roguelite that's not too addictive.
Spyro/Crash Bandicoot/THPS remasters are good for this if you're looking for more of a nostalgia hit.
Hotshot Racing if you want some old school arcade racing.
Avoid Stardew Valley at all costs. You'll suddenly find that hours have passed you care way too much about the amount of virtual parsnips you'll be able to harvest by the end of the season.

Into the Breach. Great little turn based strategy roguelite type thing, and really good for pick up/put down, even mid scenario.

Still such a fun game, if you played the original or not.I just got a switch so have mostly been playing Zelda, but after that gonna check out the THPS remake, the latest in the boxboy series, and probably that jet set radio homage.
