Brussels too.

I don't find find it a problem since you aren't there very long as check in times are so good, unlike shitty airports. Eurostar is great.

In Paris, the space up the spiral stairs is often calmer.

There were a couple of seats up their if you were traveling on your own but not so good if you want to sit with your travelling companion.
It's true that you aren't there for long but check-in allegedly closes before they let anyone board so IMHO they should have enough seats for everyone.

The way Ms office products search bar sometimes picks up key words and lists related filenames (useful), but other times doesn't (useless) with seemingly no reason for why (the hate).

There will be a number of people happy to stand and move around, where able to. Seats also cost and take up space..in fact why do people want to sit before long journeys where they are going to be sitting down?

'cause they have spent a week walking round tourist stuff, are part way through a journey and their feet are tired. I was less bothered at St Pancras on the way out

They should be energised by a lovely holiday!! Didn't mean Eurostar so much to be honest, more airports where most have arrived by car or taxi from home or hotel.

20" fat wheeled SUV-looking e-bikes and the way they are piloted.

Kneecaps as far apart as possible

Most weigh about as much as an suv, proportional to a normal bike.

Anticyclist sentiment.
Unremarkable in the grand scheme of cycling in London but shaken up by the level of rage directed at me cycling through Peckham today ... regularly encounter rage on this section of my cycle home as I filter into the bike box (how dare I?) then maintain position in the centre of the lane until my right turn - infuriates cars as they think because there is a bicycle gutter, I ought to be in it. Normally let the rage wash over me, but had a van sitting on my back wheel revving really heavily and was worried he was going to ram me, so moved to the left. I am sure he swerved towards me as he passed - completely focused on gesticulating and shouting abuse at me for having teh audacity to ride a bike.
Extra annoyed as I'd just been thinking about the Police "cracking down" on dangerous cyclists before this happened - I recently had a policeman on an ebike swoop in front of me at a junction near Trafalgar square (where I was waiting at a red light) to shout "CONTINUE TO WAIT AT THE RED LIGHT!!" before zooming off through it himself.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk / rant

One of the reasons I never cycle without a front and rear camera now. There is something very satisfying about knowing you can report the aggression/dangerous driving.
Unfortunately we have a government who seem obsessed with driver's rights and encouraging more car journeys.

parcel company tracking apps that are snobby about which of their parcels you can track because capitalism
have got packages from dpd and dhl arriving today and dpd which normally shows me my packages in the app automatically wont do it for this one because it's "dpd local yuck". but will let me add it manually in a lesser part of the app which i have to manually check to see the status and doesnt tell you as much information. the dhl app is just like "ew that's dhl express, I totally know what that is but i'm not touching that, go look on the website instead".

People that speak on their phones like this

Especially when they then hold the speaker up to their ear to listen to the person on the other end.

Cunts

Yes!

I don't make many calls, but when I do I have to use the speakerphone as my earpiece volume is complete crap! :(
-
• #22721
I was going to ask if there is a reason for it but I'll go with because they're cunts. I just saw 3 people standing together in a coffee shop all doing this so had to flag it.

I'll accept that

Cunts who don't get new phones when their earpiece breaks and doesn't produce enough volume.
In all seriousness though:
Especially when they then hold the speaker up to their ear to listen to the person on the other end.
I caught my daughter doing this. I told her if I saw her using her phone again like this I'd confiscate it (or just stop paying the bill for her).

Why has this become a thing? Don’t get how it’s helpful at all.

Bus drivers who stop 2m before or after where the people are standing waiting, at every single stop. Just to have a shred of power over the people waiting, making them take 3 steps before getting on.
Eurostar departure lounges. Both the London and Paris ones are far too small.
