Is there any other kind?

Maybe everyone from the sunweb days left and they don't remember the cunt he was back in the day

I imagined it and it made sense. It’ll bring a much needed balance of power to the peloton.

Warren Barguil somehow managed to get himself a 3 year deal at DSM. Maybe the sponsors like to have a French rider that people have heard of but who rarely wins?
Didn't he already ride for them and got the boot for being a selfish, uncontrollable prick (their words, paraphrased)?

Team DSM are like one of those people who gets back with their abusive ex, as they are convinced that, this time, they’ll change them.

Seems to be very little reporting / promotion / fuss being made of the World Championships ….. track already started( glad Jose Been on commentary ) - juniors road Saturday and mens road race Sunday !
Think it’s good to have one of the major races early doors - generate more interest… ?
Is there better coverage , interest , knowledge going on up in Scotland ? -
• #46862
I am going!

Sounds good but is also annoying that the men's and women's elite road race are a week apart. When it was in Yorkshire we went up and watched both races in a weekend. Now you have to choose... We're thinking of heading up (2.5 hours from here) on Sunday to watch the mens road race.

My mate works on their websites and he asked if I was going. I didn't even know it was on (save for a twitter comment I spotted yesterday).

Yeesh, horrible crash for GB men's pursuit. Luckily rider is OK, looks like he was really pushing to keep the wheel in the last corner and slipped off the front of his saddle. Denmark absolutely smashing qualies.

Is this on TV somewhere? BBC or GCN?
-
• #46867
I thought it was an interesting development to have the women's race as the final race - sports say they are committed to equality but the women's final, in every sport I can think of, is always before the men's with the implication that that is what the event has been building to.
-
• #46868
I agree it is good to have culmination of events as women's but I think it's more to do with how close the tdff was than anything else.
-
• #46869
Probably but it does set a precedent. I'm puzzled this aspect of sport is never discussed much.

I believe GCN too, but I don't have an account. -

Yep it's on GCN

Cheers. Might have a look at the magic box and see if it's recorded anything for me

One off Worlds...all disciplines at ones....never to be repeated again. Stakeholders got their fingers burnt financially ....and from the spectators' numbers perspective.
BMX, track, road, gran fondo, indoor ......hundreds of participants vying for same media space......cycle-ball anyone? -

Did he puncture or just loose his wheel one the blue and slip off the seat? I wasn’t a massive fan of the teams reaction, Bigham stormed off and checked his phone rather than check on his mate
