Yeah that's where my searches have been heading, gears down the road wouldn't be a bad thing. Kepler would be nice but not many smaller sizes around atm.

In my previous job I was want to visit other people's "guest toilet", "downstairs lavvy" or "WC under the stairs". I invariably found these to be adorned with examples of humble brags like a framed picture of a selfie with a z-list celeb, a framed diploma or pass certificate of some kind or a pile of interior design mags and a comedy book. What's in your bog?

What's in your bog?
In the actual bog? Skidmarks and a bit of limescale, I think.

Well that's something to be proud of.

One small Hockney print, one Japanese ink painting of a grumpy-looking frog, and a wobbly loo roll holder I keep meaning to fix.

I want power in a fairly remote location for 3 days. Enough to run a total wattage of around 3000w for 8 hours a day.
I could do it with batteries (a box of 150wh v-mount) but it would be stressful juggling and recharging at night, so would like effectively a power source on site I can plug into. I've seen things like the Instagrid One Max but seems fairly spendy to buy (3k or so). Similarly the Delta EcoFlow is about 2k but bigger and less power.
I'd rather not use a diesel generator because diesel but if I did, what would be the process? The things I'd want to power are ideally household plugs. Probably 8-10 of them. It's in the hills north of Swansea so am presuming not too far for delivery etc.
Any alternatives I haven't thought of?

That's a lot. 3 kW for 8 hours is 24 kWh. Multiply by 3 days and you're going to want 75 kWh or more in a battery. That's large EV battery territory and I don't think it'll be economic. Petrol gennie is the way to do this. Buy or hire a good quality silent one and it will be efficient and quiet, plus it'll have the power outlet you want. I'm not an expert on this but if you're actually going to be drawing 3 kW continuous, you probably want a generator rated at 4-5 kW continuous with 16A sockets.

3000w for 8 hours a day
Is that eight hours autonomy before you can recharge/refuel? None of the battery options is anywhere near that, you're looking at 24kWh which is more than ten Instagrids.
When looking at an internal combustion powered generator, make sure you find one which is rated to run continuously at the required load, and bear in mind you'll need additional fuel to keep it running for 8 hours as small units don't come with big tanks. LPG is probably a better fuel choice than either petrol or diesel for a low-power long-run generator, they are typically what burger vans at festivals run on if there is no shore power.

No affiliation or experience, but this is the kind of thing
https://mobcater.com/shop/generators/lpg/generator-gp550-lpg-propane-singe-phase/You'll need about 25kg of gas for the full trip (3days×8hours×3kW×0.35kg/kWh), probably best to take three 11kg cylinders so you don't have to switch bottles during any particular working day. Check locally for a Flogas or Calor store so you don't have to cross the bridge with gas cyliders in the van 🔥🧯

If you're a member (but not an admin) of a whatsapp group, and you remove the whatsapp app from your phone, but you don't delete your whatsapp account, do the other members and the admin get notified? If they send a message to the group, do they get a notification that you can't read it?

Weird employment question; I’ve just done some freelance work for an educational institution in Malta - they’re saying they will charge vat on this at source, unless I declare I’m responsible for paying vat in the uk. Is this correct?

Sounds like it. They have to be able to prove your labour was ‘exported’. You should be able to get a certificate of tax residency from HMRC.

Replacement multimeter probes from eBay rated to 1000V: nothing can go wrong, right?
For personal use up to about 500V DC. What are my options that won't make me die?

What was it you did that chewed up the original probes?
Cheapest I ever found those was £2.99 or something like that on wiggle, I think. Bought 20 just for the axles, cones and bearings.
