You either know that the DS/ID are awesome or that you are wrong.

Got a photo of a ford galaxy convertible but doesn't want to link here.

Two spots yesterday. The ford seems to have been there a while judging by the hedge

The 900 just did SE London to Lands end via Lyme Regis and Bath very comfortably. Renewed MOT with no advisories on the way back. Running clean as it can be and generally good fuel consumption (except when the front board strap came loose on the motorway and it sat at 30 degrees nose upwards...).

Ah what a lovely car the 900 turbo is... gorgeous sound! my mum had one when I grew up so it always holds a special place, the best car she's ever owned as she regularly reminds me

I know it's been discussed here before but couldn't see this specific question raised - has anyone got any experience of buying/fitting one of the aliexpress android head units? Looking at something like this to go into a 2010 golf. I guess the difficulty would be removing the existing unit and the ease (or otherwise) of plugging into existing systems (power and audio)? I really only want it to be able to mirror my phone for google maps/waze and control the music system via spotify/podcast app etc. Any experience/input appreciated.

A great looking, spacious, useable car that handle well.
Saabs faster models always seemed to make mid range torque more important than 0-60. Not that they were sluggish anyway but more that you had good acceleration when overtaking.I’d love a 900 hpt hatchback!

Indeed, mine is pretty docile/slow around town but is great on faster open roads. Suits me perfectly and keeps fuel consumption down.

There are certain cars that are liked by car people and Saab 99 and 900 are two.

Lovely! Next time you drive near Bath pop by and see how the house is coming on!

Yeah remember it being a nippy little one, perfect for driving about London in, would love to own one one day

I don't. I was lucky to have the correct size colour screen already so the only thing I needed to do was upgrade the head unit and get someone to code it to my car.
I used this guy on ebay who provided an OEM unit coded to my vehicle and he gave me great support, even down to how to install the bastard thing. Works perfectly.

Front tyres are getting quite worn on the golf. Rear ones still happily spinning away on 4mm.
I’m thinking of putting Cross Climates on the front and maybe doing the rear later in the year.
Is it ok to drive around on different tyres/treads assuming same tyres per axle?

• #75217
Yes. Totally fine. The fronts on our Audi lasted half as long as the rears. We are mostly mismatched. We have not exploded into a ball of flames.

Car spot of the day. The reviews were a bit shonky when it was released, it was the first Maserati released when they were owned by Citroen, but damn this is a fine looking car, 4 seater 1974 Maserati Indy.
Wiki says they only made 1100 in total, and this top spec 4.9 litre one, they only made 300, so this is proper rare, and what a looker, swoon.

The radial tyre is a Michelin X. Now why i remember the pattern and not phone numbers who knows.
Anyone else get the follow up public service announcements for a thief wants your bike, and driving to close in the wet is suicide?

Followed a D reg Volvo 740 estate for a while today. It was in the martini racing livery and had a sticker saying ‘Need for Swede’ on the back window. Excellent taste!

Is it historic so no MOT

Well, the Citroens of those were not so bad looking themselves imo. Or did they up a notch after purchasing Maserati?
Go and check the forums, loads of info on thrm. I think if you have the higher spec ES model with a cd changed in it then you can use a yatour cd changer emulator and then either plug a line into it to your device of choice or add an aptX Bluetooth device which gives you about as good as Bluetooth gets kind of connection (regular Bluetooth sucks for music tbh)
Or rip it out and install a dash cover
