Youāve ordered one too ?
Tudorās diver do excellent dayli, same situation for the blue BB58..
Iāve tried the Pelagos 39, perfect from a design standpoint, but not convinced by the titanium feeling/lightness..
Tempted by this 79090 currently

I sold my Santos last year because It was too delicate for every day and I rarely need a dress watch but I already want one again because they're just so nice. I've got a couple of GS but apples to oranges vs a Cartier

Yeah, I got my name down early doors. Will be really interesting to see how it compares with the SLA017.
People go on about how big the SLA017 is - itās really not, IMHO (though itās got some weight to it). Itās a standard 40mm dive watch size. Smaller than a 300M.
Anyway, I might keep the one I prefer, or both. Probably both. But then something else might have to go.
That 79090 is very nice.

They sell an identical black version of the straps as an option. Though at the price they could have thrown both in IMO.
Re: the price of the Sideral, I donāt think itās that crazy, given the carbon case, but it feels a bit toppy when you look at the price of other Tissots with the same movement. Or something like a Squale 1521.

Curious to have your side by side comparison..
As a guy whoāve missed the SLA017 train, this new iteration felt like a good option to enter the Seiko world..
This limited edition thing pushed me to pre order one without trying, so not sure what to expect..
(Good memories from the SLA037 essai in a seiko boutique few years ago, I expect it to feel similar)
I turn around blue Tudor sub since a while (having a blue snowflake already) and that one came by at the same time..

Yeah, Iāll definitely post a comparison. Iām also really curious to see it in the metal. From photos, the finishing and overall execution seems almost identical to the SLA017.

Yeah, that aside. I meant more the finishing on the case and hands, the dial, markers, bezel insert, and crystal all look basically the same, but downsized. They didnāt go with applied markers / logo for example.
Very happy birthday.
