  • Yeah, I got my name down early doors. Will be really interesting to see how it compares with the SLA017.

    People go on about how big the SLA017 is - it’s really not, IMHO (though it’s got some weight to it). It’s a standard 40mm dive watch size. Smaller than a 300M.

    Anyway, I might keep the one I prefer, or both. Probably both. But then something else might have to go.

    That 79090 is very nice.

  • Curious to have your side by side comparison..

    As a guy who’ve missed the SLA017 train, this new iteration felt like a good option to enter the Seiko world..

    This limited edition thing pushed me to pre order one without trying, so not sure what to expect..

    (Good memories from the SLA037 essai in a seiko boutique few years ago, I expect it to feel similar)

    I turn around blue Tudor sub since a while (having a blue snowflake already) and that one came by at the same time..

  • Yeah, I’ll definitely post a comparison. I’m also really curious to see it in the metal. From photos, the finishing and overall execution seems almost identical to the SLA017.
