The Hungarian 'inventor' seems to have made a fair bit of money already, and if he manufactured it openly maybe the only customers would be racers (the battery life is 20 mins) and the checking would be improved and the market would disappear. Or maybe he wouldn't be able to protect his patent and there'd be cheap copies on alibaba?

I listened to the Roadman podcast with Greg LeMond (2nd podcast this year, amey) and he accuses Cancellara of using a motor at Flanders and, more to my surprise, Froome of using one on Ventoux (not the bit where he was running). No one could like LeMond more than me, well, his family probably do, but...
I know andyp will have thoughts on this.
