Fairlight cycles - any opinions?

Lovely to see someone else with the Wotter Bottles.

So... I sold my MS and bought a Strael in the beautiful black and copper.

Not much point doing a build thread as other than a new seat post it's all coming off the MS.

But, the neat freak in me wonders if, despite Fairlight saying you can't, anyone has successfully run their brake housing though the dynamo ports for some internal routing?

Not fussed if it's really not possible, but am curious.

Wouldn’t it be on the wrong side?

They have the ports on both sides to allow for non-UK road users.

Ah sorry - fork has internal brake and dynamo light routing already. I'm thinking rear.

I recently got a 56T Strael 3.0, it rides amazingly and the fit feels great. But, I do seem to have a bit of toe overlap. Totally haven’t noticed it riding but when stationary if I steer too far with one foot forward it touches (and I’m yet to fit mudguards which is the plan). Has anyone else had this? Just wondering if it’ll ever be a problem, or just something to be aware of doing a slow/sharp turn. I don’t think there are any outliers in my setup - 32mm tires, 172.5 cranks, average (UK9) feet!

I've got a 56T with 34mm tyres, 172.5 cranks and size UK11 feet, toe overlap not been a problem but then again I'm not Hotlining through traffic in this!

If you're aware of it (and remember) you will ride with it in mind when slow turning and it's never a problem.

Thanks folks that’s good to know. Was freaking out a bit that I’d got the sizing wrong! But in every other way the fit feels great so don’t think that’s the case.

It's inevitable really with big tyres and mudguards.

Yeah totally agree with this. My Strael replaced a Surly Straggler and the difference is extreme!

what's lead times like atm? pretty true to what they say? no mad rush but don't want to be waiting 6 months more than stated on the website - pita!
