it's probably not as much of an issue since USB-C, but i've had several phones in the past become unusable purely because of the charging port going kaput.

I dropped a Blackberry once that bent the mini-USB and my old XCover had a micro-USB die, but it did a lot of ultra racing with it (wet, etc). Still isn't isn't enough for me to piss about with cordless charging stuff.
I do like Bluetooth for work headset but still use cable. But I can't afford the battery limitations with it generally so I use a USBC to headphone adapter.
Same. Don't see the point.
I did quite like my Sony's magnetic clip charging for when it was hanging on the aerobars but that phone is long gone.
