  • 30 day ban for mid race cyclocross, seems fairly lenient?

  • Kirby Highlight this tour was him talking about speed slime to Robbie when the tour passed a pike fishing lake. Bars. A very underrated fish.

  • "It is big, and so is that gash - an active part of the body, Sean..."
You're all going bonkers if you think Kirby is anything other than an embarrassment.

  • wtf were sd worx thinking?!

  • A bit like Richie Benaud, his voice in the background is a reminder that summer is here.

The problem with this is that he's on all year round, doing my head in with his 'random walk' sentences

  • and David Duffield

  • Just need to find that commentary gold when Pantani stopped on the descent of the Galibier in 1998.

  • They've been trippin balls all week.

Yoof of today have never had it so good

  • "Turn grandma to the wall!"

  • That was 25 years ago today, according to Herbie Sykes on Twitter.

  • I was only 4

  • I was a bit older.

  • Lots of talk about Eurosport's recipe correspondent but I don't remember any appreciation for Douwe van Hinsbergen and his geology on ITV.

I actually found it really interesting and he was a great presenter. The tank tops especially.

  • SD worx DS thrown off the tdf. Sounds like there was some choice and robust repartee with the commissaires.

  • Fair enough, it was an arrogant thing to do in the first place and sounds like his actions since have been similar. Stupid dangerous driving.

  • Servais Knaven has been kicked off now.

  • Agreed! Was a highlight this year.

I don’t use Twitter much but here’s his feed https://twitter.com/vanhinsbergen

  • Sorry if a pea roast: http://www.skysports.com/share/12929419

(New Cav Netflix doc out in a few days)

  • Hats off to lotto kopecky giving her all in le tour . Plus Annemiek van Vleuten showing signs of tiredness.

  • Super ride from Lotte - and she should be able to podium with her time trial tomorrow , better still - scorch it by a couple of minutes , win , and reclaim the yellow jersey.... !
I can't warm to Vollering for some reason - good result but feels all SD Worx tactics come from Van de Breggan hating Van Vleuten with Vollering caught in the middle ... she will win ... but then cry / blame commissaires etc etc .... for some perceived slight ...
Wish Kasia had had the legs to win ....

  • I'm not Vollering's biggest fan, but tactically she absolutely did the right thing today. I've know idea if that was Van der Breggan's doing or not, but it worked out exactly how SD Worx wanted.

They've had a lot of criticism of their tactics this week, with justification, but they were consistent in saying that their priority was keeping Vollering in the GC race. Which was the right call.

  • Wish Kasia had had the legs to win ....

she never wins, like a female Pinot

  • I listened to the Roadman podcast with Greg LeMond (2nd podcast this year, amey) and he accuses Cancellara of using a motor at Flanders and, more to my surprise, Froome of using one on Ventoux (not the bit where he was running). No one could like LeMond more than me, well, his family probably do, but...
I know andyp will have thoughts on this.
