Indeed, the man himself.

I had dinner with him before tcrno6 and then met him again, on the Bielerhohe Pass where I took a photo of him. An excellent and interesting man.

Yeah, same.
I'd not looked at the parcours (I don't like dotwatching anywhere near as much as riding)"You might see an unprecedented number of people not make CP one before the time cut off for GC. This race is going to be a lot harder than it looks. Tons of climbing."

Think of how miserable I am riding, then think about how much riding I do... now imagine how miserable the rest of my life is to make riding the "good" bit. Living the dream.

Hmm is there precedent for extended CP time?
Doesn’t seem that fair on riders who may have jeopardised the rest of their race to make the CP -

Ha ha ha, that's exactly where it was!

Where is that quote from? Presumably, they will have to extend the deadlines on the other checkpoints too!

was extended prior to the race starting

Will Vousden #119 caught my eye in the replay, coming off CP2 and... having another go?

Lots haven’t made to CP1 on time…1/3?
They knew before the start that people wouldn't make it and that it was tight. I do wonder if this situation encourages people to take risks to make the CPs...
