Yep, he wanted invisible mounting but it was too late for braze-ons. I sewed 3M DualLock onto the bag and the other half is stuck to the frame with VHB tape. With proper degreasing etc. the VHB tape is pretty amazing, I'm not sure I'd do it outside of a show bike context but I think it should hold up well.

Stupid, but kinda cute to not have labels on there.

Does anyone have a mid blade basket rack for sales? 7
Ideally black, but not a deal breaker.
-
• #7332
oh what! they're so great! I assumed they must be owner-made due to no branding...

Anyone got a Revelate Ranger framebag in Medium for sellz?

I have a RAB you can have for free if you can collect from SE6, but needs a down wash

I've got a decathlon one... seems good enough for my use but I'm not climbing everest or anything
-
• #7338
I've got a Decathlon MT500. It's great, warm and packable and not too expensive.

• #7339
if you don’t want to spend the earth, your first mistake is looking at buying new.
search for used mountain hardware, rab, mountain equipment, outdoor research, montane, montbell etc on facebook marketplace and you’ll get the value.

Has anyone used the Focus Adventure Rack on anything other than a Focus gravel bike?
-
• #7342
thanks re decathlon. Uniqlo option
@skinny UK touring and bikepacking trips, March to October - so not needing it to be that warm. Budget dunno really ideally not more than £80-100.
-
• #7343
what size is it? that's a super generous offer! cheers
-
• #7344
Medium, its black and has a peaked hood
-
• #7345
As above take up amey offer or launchpadbois brand recommendations. You'll find something suitable on fbmarletplace/eBay easy. Look for down above 700g and a jacket around 300-400g.

Cheers and for the link, though need XL not M so can’t take amey’s generous offer. Think thishttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256136303629?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=u5lFvBbKQmu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=8rnwzrLuRJ6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY] could be a shout, though it is a down alternative
-
• #7347
Yeah get down not that.
Primaloft gold or climashield apex are the down alternatives. But bulky and degrade quicker. I do wear them aot though.
Look on fbmpIf going decathlon I'd consider the mt100 one. Lighter and less warm. Unless you're someone that is cold, they rate it to 5C static. Wear with fleece and rain jacket to boost warmth. I dunno about decathlon down provenance though.

I have this, great value for money. My wife didn’t like the colours available at Decathlon when she wanted one this year and anything remotely similar was at least twice the price.
-
• #7349
Warm enough for march&sept? Do you tend to layer up with these jackets or is it the same principle as a sleeping bag?
-
• #7350
Layering helps. And windshell on outer to cut wind.
They look very nice. How are they attached? It looks almost like there are velcro strips on the frame?
