Catalonia banned it in 2012 but that was overturned in 2016.
Banned in Mallorca in 2017 but overturned in 2018.

was it catalonia that banned bull fighting. i had thought it was now an ex thing in spain.
used to holiday in spain every summer in the 80's and there were bars in the small andalucian town we stayed in that had pictures and souvenirs from bull fights in ronda malaga and granada decorating the walls and bull fighting on the tele. all the old men used to go in for an afternoon of aperitifs and tapas. saw it once and was pretty horrified by it all. it was a big thing back in the day but not so much these days .... hopefully.
it was considered an art form by the older spanish generations like flamenco
