There was a very noticeable difference when I raced the two TransAms. The first I had a LightBicycle 65mm front rim, the second was a normal 30ish rim. Much less stressful hanging onto the latter, when you're trying to ride the tiny gap between the white line and the fucking rumble strips in Americaland.

I think the bar bag is OK, had no issues with it on tcr last year. Can't see from the pic but it is shaped like the front of a boat so reasonably aero from the side.
I did have issues on indypac with a big, flat sided one, and it's nothing like that.
I'll change the headset bearing, and I also need to get another set of disk brakes wheels, then I can test that.
Kind of hard to test this stuff though as it only becomes an issue in unusual conditions.
Wheels probably most likely, although light bicycle reckoned those rims were fine in cross winds.
