It's a pressure cooker and when I put the lid on without tightening it it will keep dripping from the overhanging edge, the paper towel absorbs it.
Assuming the temperature is quite low?
I also had it under a cast iron pan with a rough bottom and at high temperatures, the worst that happened was it turned a bit golden brown. Just keep it under fahrenheit 451.
