Nice!
So much rain. I don’t think I’ve skated in about a month, which is the longest I’ve by one for a while now.

Took my son and nephew around some of my old street haunts at the weekend, was fun. There’s a lot of no skating signs around now

I'm after a skateboard for the child for her 13th. She's small, so I think a mid width, 7-7.5" but that's all I know.
There's no physical shop nearby, so, whats a good online retailer?

Are you after a complete set-up?
Slam City is good - skater owned, skate-community stalwarts etc.Otherwise, the mini-logo set ups are good quality and good value.

Thanks, that gives me a starting point

Went out last night for the first time in 20 years. Now wondering why I stopped (and sad that I missed out on so much skating).
Incredible what muscle memory you retain too...

Yeah very much this. I find I have to stop myself from feeling too miserable about it - and just focussing on the fact that I’m having fun with it now.

I've recently started skating parks again after buying a longboard a couple of years ago - still waiting on the muscle memory overriding the fear factor though... this has just popped up 10 minutes down the road & it's perfect for building confidence again - gave the local middle aged dads group the heads up & there's a middle aged skater group in the making now

That looks a lot of fun!

It's really well thought out - small footprint but it flows really well, I had a wide pool deck with surfskate trucks with me & could have gone round in circles for days
My knee is still feeling it from Friday though - as long as it's fine by this Friday that's cool

Does it connect up then, or is it horseshoe shaped?
There’s a pump track really near me that’s had some extra bits added to it recently which look good for skating. Need to get over there soon and check it out

It's horseshoe shaped with a small half pipe in the middle section, was a bit underwhelmed when I first saw it but it works well - the quarter pipe over the rollers is a bit tight, but that's probably because I haven't ridden a skatepark in nearly 30 years

Jamie Griffin taking his flat ground Instagram shed based wizardry to The Berrics and back and now hitting ten stair hardflip late flips down London Bridge is fucking legendary.

I've been trying to get out skating a bit more recently (no doubt prompted by the good weather) and today I think I've finally got nollies.
A good way to start a Friday

For the more mature of us this is coming up in early August. Features Kadir Guirey, who was on here back in the day.

Considering the terrifying decision to try skating again at 30 years old and 130kg. Enjoyed it when I was a teenager and I'm a lot better at learning things now and less distracted by smoking weed in the skatepark so might actually be able to learn something.

I tried again at 38 and completely fucked my knees doing a few flatland tricks.
While it rains
