Bundobust have opened a venue in Birmingham, I saw and found their places pretty kid friendly and tasty. not sure if its the right area though...

Hen & Chicken is very close by and is a really decent desi pub with excellent service. Good menu so you should be able to get something for the 6 year old. Went there the day after Opheem and enjoyed it equally.
I'd also recommend DDC for the different options in one place.
There's also this fast food chain in Brum called Big John's that's not really high class but it's a big variety of absolutely acceptable food at an excellent price.
That is the extent of my Birmingham knowledge other than eating at terrible interior taxi driver friendly establishments.

In Birmingham for 3 days this week with a 6 year old for a nearby wedding. I would personally do a desi pub crawl followed by a drive through at the Seafood Cartel but both of those options seem rife with risk if I'm attending a wedding the next day.
We're staying Aston/Eastside way. Anything tasty nearby? Ideally a few options like some kind of food hall so we can see and make a decision rather than turning up it being obviously not right. Thinking for a 6 year old (quick service, plenty of room, small menu etc).
