  • I seriously considered shipping a bike back but the sad fact is that build quality and overall design is truly dire.
To appease my desire to consume I have on a couple of occasions posted back several kilos of bike related tat. Horns, bells, top tube protecters/advirtisments, glue,(over twenty tubes) dynamos, spokey dokeys, Hero stickers, mudguard flaps, handcuff style bike locks. The list could go on. I still have a draw full in my garage having pretty much run out of people to gift.

    Nice graphics mind.

  • very fast.
    mine was two days.
in on wed, ready friday, flew saturday (after procuring malarone at the last minute).#
Do it online then head to the embassy and give it in, really organised place.

Agreed. Filled mine out on line. Dropped it off at Goswell Road on a Thusday, picked it up the following Monday.

I'm going to South Goa next week for 10 days if anyone has any hot tips! Oooh, hot, its going to be hot!

I enjoyed hearing about that. I brought back some rikshaw bells, amazing they are!

  • Thread dredge alert!

Me and LadyLiz are looking at Mysore-Goa area for a couple of weeks late next year.
Any tips or links to others who’ve toured the region?

  • I have been taken around in these parts many times in a car, never on a bicycle. But I am originally from India (Pune) so PM me if you have any questions.

  • Bumping this thread as I have been daydreaming about cycling around India.
Has anyone done a long tour there?

  • Paging @amey
I'm still thinking about an India trip maybe in the spring. In the north west.

    Is India good for cycling?

  • Does anyone know if Manohar airport accepts e-visas? Website has Goa listed but I think it's only the other airport but it's not clear

  • its a small airport; but sees international traffic so i’d assume so!

  • Ok sure. It's for my girlfriend, she's going in September and is having a panic about whether the visa will be accepted.
Have you been to the Goa region? Any tips for someone's first time in India? :)
(She's not cycling, this was just the most relevant thread)

  • so many! eat in Ritz in Panjim; then maybe leave North Goa for South or Karwar/Gokarna. North Goa is bit touristy and should be avoided. I can go more in detail in a bit.
